Louise E. Nieters

Age 97, of Maplewood, passed away on June 6, 2025.

Preceded in death by husband, Albert; and sister, Fran Ahrens.

Survived by children, Terri (Tom) Zappa, Tom (Lisa Turnquist), Bob (Emily), Kathy, Dave (Kit); grandchildren, Kristin (Jeff Turek) Zappa, Beth (Mitch) Kockler, Tony Zappa, James (Jordan) Knight-Zappa, Paul (Lauren) Zappa, Liz (Alex) Torres, Mary Nieters, Austin Nieters, Josh Nieters; and great grandchildren Amelia, Sam, and Jack Kockler, Milio Zappa, Raelynn and Genevieve Zappa.

Louise was a longtime Western Union employee from age 16 until retirement. She stayed active with the WU Retirement Group producing their newsletter, the Tele-Him-n-Her.

After WU Retirement, Louise worked at a title insurance company in downtown Minneapolis.

Louise served the Parish of St Jerome's as Trustee and volunteer office staff. As a parishoner for over sixty years, she also volunteered in various capacities.

Louise trekked accross the country supporting the annual Hill-Murray band trip for several years as chaperone. She logged countless hours and miles on motor coaches.

Mass of Christian Burial 11:00 AM Monday, June 16 at the Church of St. Jerome, 380 E. Roselawn Avenue, Maplewood. Visitation at the church from 10-11 AM Monday.

Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Church of St. Jerome.
