Listen to Obituary

Age 63 of St Paul MN died 6/29/25, surrounded by the love of her family. She passed away at Our Lady of Peace Hospice Home after a brief battle with metastatic breast cancer.

Lynn is survived by her children, Francis Sager (Adrian) and Henry Sager; father, Thomas Sager (Mary); brother, Tom Sager (Angela); sister, Cathy Sager (Jack Patton); sister, Angela Jacobs; nieces, Margaret, Anne, Mary, Katie; nephew, Jackson (Meghan); great niece, Aubree; great nephew, Leo Paul; bonus children, Hope Bolyard (Nate) and Berkley Marek; along with countless loving relatives and friends.

Lynn is preceded in death by her mother, Marianne Sager; brother, Bert Sager; brother-in-law, Paul Jacobs; special Aunt and Uncle, Rita and Ken Lampert; her paternal and maternal grandparents, Frank & Katherine Sager and Winifred and Herb Bjorklund.

Lynn was born 4/13/1962, the second of 5 children in the Sager Clan. She was a proud 1980 graduate of Derham Hall High School and went on to earn her Bachelors Degree in Nursing from the College of St. Catherine. She spent 30 years as an RN at Hennepin County Medical Center. Various positions included SICU (surgical intensive care unit), in patient psychiatry, and RN educator. In her later career she worked as a triage nurse. Lynn was an amazing nurse. Her skills, intelligence, compassion and care for people was her calling, no doubt about it. She thrived on helping anyone she could, with big or small acts of kindness. Her warm and loving care was given to so many, at work and beyond. She loved and cared unconditionally.

There wasn’t a MN sports team she didn’t cheer for, especially the MN Twins and all MN Gopher teams. She so enjoyed watching the games, cheering, and knowing all the stats and information.

Lynn was truly a bright spot in this world. She had a huge, contagious laugh with a beautiful smile to match. Her hugs made you feel loved and cared for, and her always listening ear was so attentive to those in her life. Lynn always wanted to know “how are you doing?” And it was said with complete sincerity. Her sense of humor was outstanding. She loved mischief, hilarious stories, and jokes. We will treasure all the times we would literally laugh until the tears were rolling down our faces.

Lynn cherished her kids Francis and Henry. She loved them “to the moon and back.” They were her world raising them, always loving them, all while navigating being a single Mom. She was an amazing mama bear and she prayed for their happiness and peace.

We will miss Lynn dearly. Her spirit, love, laugh, and smile will be forever remembered. We know she will be in our hearts, watching over us. We thank Lynn for showing us and reminding us what love, family, and what’s important in life truly means. We see Lynn dancing in heaven, wearing her Birkenstocks and peace bracelets, drinking a latte or diet cherry coke, free of all pain and angst.

“If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together….Keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever.” ~Winnie the Pooh~

We would like to thank the staff at Regions Hospital for their excellent care while Lynn was there. Also, an enormous Thank You to Our Lady of Peace. It was a true blessing Lynn was able to spend her final days in such a supportive and dignified environment.
