Marion Battisto, beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 102.
She is survived by her children, Steve (Paulette), Mary (Roger) Dufresne, Jean, Debora and David (Kimberly); grandchildren, Lisa (John), Mark, David (Allison) Zschokke, Stephanie (Gage) Hampton, and Emily (Ryan) Hauenstein; great-grandchildren, Joseph, Abram, Isabelle, Brekin, Claira, Amelia, and Julia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alex; children, James, Kathleen and Joan; parents, Beatrice and Tom, and sister, Grace.
Born in Massachusetts, she met and married Alex, moved to Minnesota, established roots and raised a family.
Marion was a tireless worker both in and out of the home, continuing to work well into her 80’s, a testament to both her work ethic and her independent spirit. However, she will be remembered best for her kind and generous heart. She was endlessly hospitable, with a home that was always warm and welcoming. Her cooking was nothing short of spectacular, and she loved making dinner for others as a gesture of kindness and generosity. She had a warm heart and quick wit, and loved to give small gifts to everyone she cared about to simply say… I’m thinking about you. She will be missed by many.
