Marlene Alice Krumrie

Marlene dedicated much of her life to supporting and guiding children, serving with compassion in the Minneapolis Public Schools as a special needs assistant and later at Hand in Hand Christian Academy as both a teacher assistant and parent mentor. Her heart for others was evident in everything she did — from the classroom to the community.

Known for her warm presence and wise counsel, Marlene was someone you could always turn to for a listening ear and thoughtful advice. She had an incredible gift with a sewing machine, creating everything from practical repairs to handmade treasures, always stitched with love.

Marlene also had a true talent for thrifting, delighting in finding hidden gems and sharing them with others. Her greatest joy, however, was sharing the love of Jesus, which she did naturally and sincerely through her actions and words.

Marlene’s legacy lives on in the lives she touched — through kindness, creativity, faith, and the care she so freely gave. She will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

Marlene was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Krumrie; son, Leonard Krumrie; daughter, Lorri Ryan; and brother, Arnold Erhart.

She is survived by daughters, Sherri Newago and Connie (Dan) Mattison; son, Robert Krumrie; grandchildren, William LaValley, Jami Gretsch, Matt (Karen)Gretsch, Mitchell Mattison, Megan Mattison; great-grandchildren, Mariah (William) Bertek-Archambault, Dom’nick Williams, Ariana Williams, BrookeGretsch; great-great-grandchildren, Sage Bertek and Sapphire Archambault.

Memorial Service 11 AM Saturday, May 31 at North Heights Lutheran Church (Roseville Campus), 2701 N. Rice Street, Roseville. Visitation from 10-11 AM at the church. Private family interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to donor’s choice.
