Martin Scott King. Born February 28, 1962 weighing in at 9 lbs 8.5 oz.
Died July 03, 2025 during his sleep, at 63 years of age.
Martin had a thirst for knowledge from a young age and excelled throughout his academic years. A comment made by his kindergarten teacher was, "Martin likes any art work, especially coloring". Martin proved her words true and became an excellent artist. He was very detailed in his work and could create amazing art in several different formats.
He had a special fondness for Germany and learned to speak and write fluently in German during his high school years. One summer he became a foreign exchange student and spent the summer in Germany. He often spoke of returning to Germany one day, but the opportunity never came.
Martin held a wide variety of jobs throughout his life but seemed to enjoy silk screening work. Martin really enjoyed his current job at Squid Ink in Spring Lake Park, MN. where he has worked the past four years or so.
Martin was an avid reader and enjoyed this pastime throughout his life. He also enjoyed building models, mainly of airplanes and ships. Martin was a quiet man and would keep to himself a lot, but did always enjoy visits from the family when we came by. He would always offer you a beer to drink. Martin always had a story to tell and could have you laughing in no time. Before you left he would always give you a big old bear hug!
Martin was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Marjorie King; infant brother, Wayne Gerard King; older brother, Steven King; and nephew, Matthew Nichols.
He is survived by his three sisters, Peggy Cabrera of Milaca MN, Rebecca King of Cabool MO, and Lisa King of Kanab UT. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Private arrangements have been made.
