Mary P. Vashro (Mordorski)

Age 70, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026.

She was preceded in death by beloved husband, Thomas Vashro, parents, Leonard and Helen Mordorski, and brothers, Thomas and David Mordorski. 

Mary is survived by nephew, Rick (Chris) Mordorski, special cousin, Paul (Delores) Mordorski and her lifelong friend and caregiver, Kathy Leahy.

Mary was a Holy Spirit and Derham Hall High School graduate. She attended the U of M and had a 30-year career at the U of M hospitals as a phlebotomy technician. She had a kind and gentle soul. Throughout her life, she enjoyed being outdoors and experiencing nature. Fishing was her great joy along with all the dogs she was blessed to love.

Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit lives on in the hearts of all who loved her.

Visitation 9:30 - 10:30 am Tuesday, January 27 at the Church of St. Jerome, 380 E. Roselawn Ave., Maplewood followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 am.

Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
