Michael Henry Mueller

Michael H. Mueller, age 75, of Forest Lake, formerly of St. Paul, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on November 20, 2025.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hank and Mary; and brother-in-law, John Mottaz.

Mike is survived by his wife, Kathi (née Andert); children, Mara Mueller (Allan Capp) and Nick; grandchildren, Devin, Addison, and Gracelyn; sisters, Sue Mottaz and Barb (Jerry) Danielson; nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Mike’s greatest passion was his family. He found his happiest moments surrounded by loved ones during holidays, making homemade sausage, or cheering for his beloved Minnesota sports teams. Mike loved to cook and never missed an opportunity to make his famous potato salad. He had an uncanny knack for giving nicknames to family and friends.

Mike shared every moment with his wife, Kate (Mabel), creating a bond built on love and laughter. His grandchildren brought new joy and energy into his world, and he treasured every moment spent at their games, events, and milestones. Mike was deeply proud of his children and the lives they’ve built.

His reach extended far beyond his home. From his early days growing up on Rice Street to his later years in Forest Lake, Mike touched countless lives with his warmth, humor, and generosity. His legacy is one of family, friendship, and community, a life well-lived and deeply loved.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 25 at 7 PM at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home-Lino Lakes, 7050 Lake Dr (Co Hwy 23). Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4 - 7 PM Tuesday.

A committal service with military honors will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 26 at 1:30 PM at Fort Snelling National Cemetery (arrive at assembly area #3 by 1:15 PM).
