Michael Patrick Way

It is with profound shock and a broken heart that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son and brother, Michael Patrick Way, on October 13, 2025. He departed this world at the age of 44, leaving a void that can never be filled.

Born on August 6, 1981 in Joliet, IL. Mike was known for his easy-going sense of humor and willingness to befriend anyone he came across. He was a passionate rollerblader and enjoyed sharing it with anyone he came into contact with, making countless friends along the way. Mike’s presence made an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Mike is survived by his daughter, Sarah Lynn, his mother, Julie (Tony) Stewart, brothers Chris and John, and sister-in-law Julia. He also leaves behind his nieces and nephews, Payton, Reily, Kiera, Isla, and Lochlan.

The loss was completely unexpected, and the family is in a state of devastation and shock. Mike was a wonderful brother and son and will be deeply missed.
