Myron J. LaForte

Myron John LaForte, Age 89, of Blaine, MN, passed from this life, swiftly and peacefully, on Friday, February 10th, 2023, with his family at his side.​A natural born storyteller, Myron was quick with recollections of days gone by, with a level of detail and character that was, simply, astounding. Most stories were based on fond memories and humorous events of his life, for, more than anything, he loved to laugh. His impish and infectious grin was an invitation into his world, a world that will be sorely missed. He was beloved by all who met him.​Myron is survived by his children, Debbie Gagner, Steve LaForte, Joe LaForte (Randy Winkler); son-in-law, Jeff Schaefer; brother, Donald (Pat) LaForte, as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.​In eternal rest, Myron joins his wife, Eleanore; dear daughter, Lynn Schaefer; parents, Joseph and Lillian; siblings, Frank, Joseph, Richard, Clarence (Butch), and Mary (Tomann).​A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 17th, at 10:30am, with visitation one hour prior, from 9:30am to 10:30am, at St. Joseph of the Lakes Catholic Church, 171 Elm St, Lino Lakes, MN 55014. There will be a luncheon after Mass, and internment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 2101 Lexington Ave S, Mendota Heights, MN 55120.
