Olivia Jacobson passed away unexpectedly on December 16, 2023. She was only 28 years old. Our family is devastated and shocked by this loss. Olivia was born on October 29, 1995 in Edina, Minnesota to parents, Tanya Jacobson and Eric Crowley.
Olivia was a natural entertainer - brilliant, beautiful, and endlessly creative. She couldn’t walk without dancing. She had a remarkable ability to connect with anyone, but she felt most comfortable spending quality time with her family by sharing a delicious meal and watching a good movie.
Olivia could master any job and was a quick learner, succeeding in anything she put her mind to. After attending Thomas Jefferson High School in Bloomington, MN, Olivia attended Perpich Center for Arts Education. She later attended Harold Washington College in Chicago.
One of Olivia’s many creative ventures was music. She loved the guitar most of all and was extraordinarily gifted with words. One of her passions was songwriting. Her passion to foster love through music was most realized in the song she wrote, “Strain on My Heart” from the album High’s and Lows, which became #1 on Billboard’s top 100 blues album charts.
Olivia is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Marilyn and Howard; brother, Jaden, and cousin, David.
Olivia is survived by parents, Tanya and Eric; brothers, Alex, Branden, and Anthony; sister, Jada; maternal grandparents, Barbara and Charles; and lots of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Olivia had a very deep and close relationship with her mom.
There is so much more to say, but in the end, what she did most was make our world brighter. She is and will always be loved.
