Paul Norvin Dahl went to be with the Lord on May 21, 2025 at the age of 87.
Paul was born on July 6, 1937 to Norvin and Alice Dahl in LaCrosse, WI. His parents moved to St. Paul, MN in 1943, where they raised Paul and his 12 siblings.
Paul married his high school sweetheart, Marjorie Crum, on November 1, 1958. Paul and Marge began their journey together in St. Paul where they had three children, Jodene, Randy and Jo Ann. They moved to North St. Paul in 1970 and remained in the same home to the present.
Paul worked most of his adult life for the Healy Ruff Co. He started in the shop but worked the majority of his career as an electronics draftsman. He retired in 1999 after nearly 40 years with the company.
In retirement, Paul enjoyed fishing the lakes of Minnesota and an occasional trip to the casinos to play the penny slots. But his greatest passion was collector cars. Paul and Marge were members of the Gopher State Chapter of the Buick Club of America for over 20 years and are currently members of the Minnesota Street Rod Association. Over the years, he owned 8 different collector cars. He was awarded more than 50 trophies from car shows in the local area, Wisconsin and Iowa. When he wasn’t traveling to a car show, on Friday evenings in the summer, you could find Paul at the History Cruzer Car Show in downtown North St. Paul, displaying his current car (a 1962 Buick Electra 224 in Camelot Rose) and enjoying everyone else’s. But when he was home, you would often find him at the kitchen table playing SkipBo with his wife or daughters.
Paul was preceded in death by his father, mother, and 7 of his siblings.
He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Dahl; daughter, Jodene Clark and husband Dan; son, Randy Dahl; daughter Jo Ann Mayhugh and husband Brad; brothers Lyle, Roger and Ronald Dahl; sisters Pauline Bear and Sharon Niemczyk; 4 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
Memorial service for Paul will be at 11:00 AM Monday, June 9 at the Roselawn Cemetery Chapel, 803 W. Larpenteur Ave., Roseville. Visitation will be prior to the service from 10-11 AM Monday at Roselawn Chapel.
