Preceded in death by great grandparents, Bernie Smith Jr. & Glendoris M. Smith; aunts, Susie Smith, Bernadine Damann, Gemini Charette; and uncle, Dale Smith.

Survived by daughter, Kyla Ren Rose Wilson; mother, Rachel Rasmussen; stepfather, Ryan Rasmussen; brothers, R.J. Maunu, Redick Rasmussen; sister, Raven Charette; grandmother, Georgia Smith and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Rayna was a beautiful soul whose kindness, compassion, and love for others touched everyone who knew her. From a young age, she had a natural gift for caring for those around her. She often put the needs of others before her own, willingly helping her mother care for her younger siblings and taking on a nurturing role with her brothers. Throughout her life, she was someone her family could count on, always willing to offer love, comfort, and support when it was needed most.

Rayna was intelligent, determined, and hardworking. She proudly earned two bachelor's degrees in just four years, an accomplishment that reflected her strength, ambition, and dedication to building a bright future.

“

Of all her accomplishments, Rayna's greatest joy was being a mother to her beloved daughter, Kyla.

Of all her accomplishments, Rayna's greatest joy was being a mother to her beloved daughter, Kyla. She was an extraordinary mother whose love for her daughter was immeasurable. The beautiful years they shared together, surrounded by family, laughter, and love, will forever be treasured.

Rayna faced challenges throughout her life, including a courageous struggle with addiction, but those challenges never defined the person she truly was. She experienced wonderful years of sobriety, happiness, and togetherness with her family, creating memories that will be cherished forever.

Rayna will be remembered for her incredible strength, her generous heart, her caring spirit, and the unconditional love she gave so freely. She was deeply loved by everyone fortunate enough to know her, and although her life ended far too soon, the love she gave and the lives she touched will remain her lasting legacy.

If there is one thing I wish everyone could have witnessed, it was the love Rayna had for her daughter, Kyla.

I have said many times that Rayna was the best mother I have ever known, and I truly mean that.

Looking back, I think being a mother was always a part of who Rayna was. Even when she was a little girl, she was taking care of her younger brothers, feeding them, playing with them, protecting them, and loving them with her whole heart. She had such a natural way of nurturing the people around her.

But when she became a mom herself, I got to watch that beautiful little girl I had raised become an extraordinary mother.

Kyla was her whole world.

Rayna loved her daughter in a way that was so beautiful to witness. She was loving, attentive, patient, and protective. She wanted the very best for her little girl, and she put so much of herself into being the mother Kyla deserved.

Some of the happiest memories I will ever have are from the years Rayna and Kyla lived here with me. Having them both under my roof, watching them together, sharing our everyday lives, and seeing the love between them are things I will treasure for the rest of my life.

I wish more than anything that Rayna could have had the chance to watch her little girl grow up. I wish they could have had all the birthdays, holidays, laughter, and ordinary days that a mother and daughter deserve to share.

But one thing I know with all my heart is that Kyla will never have to wonder whether her mommy loved her.

She was loved beyond measure.

And as Kyla grows older, I will make sure she knows just how wonderful her mother was. I will tell her about Rayna's kindness, her strength, her beautiful heart, and the way she loved her daughter more than anything in this world.

I see so much of Rayna's love in the memories they made together, and I know that love will always be a part of Kyla.

Of all the things Rayna accomplished in her life, I believe being Kyla's mother was the role she treasured most.

And of all the beautiful things I witnessed as Rayna's mom, watching her become a mother herself was one of my greatest blessings.
