Richard Omer Fortuna

Rick passed away peacefully in his sleep at home in Lino Lakes at the age of 81 on July 21, 2022. He is survived by wife, Louise; sons, John, Mark (Jana), Matt (Maryanne), Steve (Laura), and Nate (Jocelyn); grandchildren, Shawna (Skyler), Devon, Gabriella (Connor), Michael, Clark, Rosalie, Dean, and Felix; sisters, Pauline Donahue and Debbie (Tim) Donahue; and many family and friends.  Rick was born and raised in Saint Paul and attended Washington High School. He worked for 39 years at Buckbee-Mears Company. He was an avid outdoorsman and especially loved hunting and fishing. Many summers were spent camping and winters snowmobiling in northern Minnesota. In recent years, Rick enjoyed playing cards with friends at the senior center, being out on the pontoon at Rush Lake, accompanying Louise down to Mission, TX, and spending time with his grandchildren.  Mass of Christian Burial 10:30 AM Thursday, July 28 at St. Joseph of the Lakes Catholic Church, 171 Elm St., Lino Lakes.  Visitation at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home-Lino Lakes, 7050 Lake Dr. (County Hwy 23) from 4-7 PM Wednesday and at the church from 9:30-10:30 AM Thursday. ​Interment at St. Joseph’s Church Cemetery with a luncheon to follow in the Great Hall.
