Age 78, of Blaine.
Preceded in death by husband of 54 years, Marshall; and parents, Herman & Mary Ahrendt.
Survived by son, Chad Ahles (Darcie Drentlaw); daughter, Nicki Ahles-Moses (Trevor Scholtz); grandchildren, Michael & Emma Moses; siblings, Vonnie Uher, Martin (Shirley) Ahrendt, Joan McClay, Gail (Mickey) Ahrendt, Sue Willow, Ginny (Paul) Lief; many nieces, nephews, in-laws, cousins, and friends.
Rita worked for many years as a paraprofessional with Anoka-Hennepin Schools. Later retired from Aveda as a child care worker in their daycare.
After retiring she loved to make jewelry, spending time with her grandchildren, watching live music, and going dancing.
Funeral service 11:30 AM Saturday, April 6 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home-Lino Lakes, 7050 Lake Dr., Lino Lakes, MN 55014. Visitation at the funeral home from 4-7 PM Friday and from 10:30-11:30 AM Saturday. A livestream of the service will be available on this page.
