Robert J. Barry

Age 87, of West St. Paul, passed away on May 4, 2024.

Preceded in death by parents, James & Veronica (Finn) Barry; and brother-in-law, Thomas Heimerl. 

Survived by wife, Theresa (Heimerl) Barry; brothers-in-law, William Heimerl, George (Barb) Heimerl; sister-in-law, Kari Heimerl; numerous nieces & nephews; and great nieces & nephews. 

Bob grew up in Belmond, Iowa and graduated from Belmond H.S. He received a degree in math from Loras College and a degree in civil engineering from the University of Iowa. He served in the Army and worked for MnDOT as a civil engineer from 1962 until his retirement in 2001. He joined the Knights of Columbus 3rd degree Council #397 in 1970, 4th degree member of the Ravoux Assembly in 1971, State Marshall for several years, and State Master of the 4th degree 1995-1998. He also served as an usher at St. Agnes. 

Visitation 4:00 - 7:00 pm Wednesday, May 8 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home (Roseville), 2130 N. Dale St. at County Rd. B. Visitation 9:00 - 10:00 am Thursday at the Church of St. Agnes, 535 Thomas Ave., St. Paul followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am.

Interment Calvary Cemetery. 

Memorials preferred to St. Agnes Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus or the Dominican Sisters of Sinsinawa.
