Ron proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, achieving a rank of Staff Sergeant and spending part of his service stationed in Greenland. Following his four years of military service he dedicated 40 years working for Burlington Northern Railroad in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Ron had a deep and genuine love for St. Paul—he embraced the city as if it were a part of his own family. In 1976, he found a special joy in joining the St. Paul Winter Carnival, proudly donning the role of a Winter Carnival Vulcan. He treasured simple moments too: walking around Lake Como, stopping for coffee at Byerly’s, coin collecting, and joking with various people he would meet from day to day.

But nothing meant more to Ron than his family. They were his true north, the people who gave his life its greatest meaning. He held them close—in his heart, and in his thoughts. His warm smile, easy laughter, and the kindness behind his words will be missed more than words can say.

Ron felt at peace making EagleCrest his home in his later years and truly valued the residents and staff. He was grateful for the kindness and attentive care he received.

In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the American Cancer Society of Minnesota.

Ron’s service & interment at Roselawn Cemetery are private.
