Age 82, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 16, 2018.
Preceded in death by parents, August and Aurelia; sister, Beverly; and mother-in-law, Benita.
Survived by his loving wife of 55 years Darlene; son, Scott; daughter, Cindy Kraushaar (Ron Snyder); sister, Carole Leyk; grandchildren, Justin (Jean), Nick (Katie), Ashley (Erik); great-grandchildren, Kylie, Kit, Damian; and many nieces and nephews.
He proudly served during the Korean War in the U.S. Navy as 1st Class Seaman from 1953 to 1956. He worked many years as an Assistant Supervisor at Montgomery Ward’s Auto Service Center, a Crane Operator at Paper Calmenson, and was a dedicated Tow Truck Driver for Rice Street Towing and Budget Towing. He loved his road trips with family to such places as Popple Creek and the Casinos. He enjoyed feeding and watching the birds and squirrels. He was a loving and kind man with a big heart who did for others before doing for himself.
Funeral service at 11 AM on Monday, April 23 at MUELLER-BIES FUNERAL HOME-ROSEVILLE, 2130 N. Dale St @ Co Rd B. Interment Sunset Memorial Park. Visitation from 2-5 PM Sunday and 10-11 AM Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers.
