Matriarch Of Our Family

Shirley J. Carlton (née Fisher), age 94 of St. Paul, passed away peacefully at home on May 25, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. 

Preceded in death by husband, Everett W.; and special needs daughter, Karen, who she took care of for more than four decades, thereby setting an example of love and compassion for the entire family.

Survived by six children, Everett J., Linda (Paul) Wenzel, Bob (Penny), Sandy (Brian) Lattu, Diane (Mark) DeLaForest and Gregg (Dana); 18 grandchildren, Dana Finn, Melissa (Kyle) Hauck, Jessica (John) Marks, Francesca O'Neill, Serena (Tyler) O'Neill, Justin (Marie) Lattu, Daniel (Kara) Lattu, Kevin (Erica) Lattu, Katherine Lattu, Robert (Megan) DeLaForest, Daniel DeLaForest, Ann (Josh) Misurelli, Erin (Joe) Salveson, Cristin (Edward) Garcia, Michael Carlton, William Carlton, Jacob Carlton, and Matthew Carlton; also 24 great-grandchildren.

Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Tuesday, June 3 at The Church of the Assumption, 51 W. Seventh St., St. Paul. Interment at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation 5-8 PM Monday, June 2 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home - Roseville, 2130 N. Dale St. at County Rd B.
