Suzanne Marie Raney

Age 87, of New Brighton.​Suzanne “Sue” Marie Sass was born on November 10, 1935, in St. Peter, Minnesota. She passed away December 8, 2022, in her home in New Brighton, Minnesota. She grew up in Le Center, Minnesota from 1935 to 1954. Sue was an avid junior high and high school all sports cheerleader. She was married for 65 years to her loving high school sweetheart, Al. She graduated in 1955 from the University of Minnesota School of Dental Hygiene and worked for two years in the Minnesota Health Department Dental Fluoride Program. Sue worked for over 40 years as a practicing dental hygienist in a variety of dental offices. She loved playing Bridge in neighborhood and community Bridge clubs; she was an excellent Bridge player. Sue was an amazing wife, mother, nana, and great nana who loved spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids. Special thanks to North Memorial Hospice for their help and guidance and to daughter, Luanne WhiteEagle, mom’s primary home caregiver!  She was preceded in death by parents, Bobbie and Ray Sass; brother, Tom; and son-in-law, Dan WhiteEagle.  Survived by loving husband, Allen; children, Luanne WhiteEagle and Mark (Courtney); grandchildren, Leah (Jeff) Peterson, Nick (Ashley) Peterson, Skye, Croix; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Max, Brantley, Rylan, and Walker.  Funeral service 10:30 AM Thursday, December 15 at MUELLER-BIES FUNERAL HOME-ROSEVILLE, 2130 N. Dale Street (at County Road B). Visitation from 9:30-10:30 AM Thursday at the funeral home. Private family interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to North Memorial Hospice, 3300 Oakdale Ave Suite 425, Robbinsdale, MN 55422.
