Suzanne M. Joyce (Milligan)

Suzie was born on January 3, 1953, in St. Paul, MN to Howard and Lillian Milligan. She lived a life rooted in service to her family and friends.

Suzie married Pat Joyce on February 24, 1979 in St. Paul. She was a dedicated wife and shared more than 47 years of love and partnership with Pat. She was a proud mother to two children, Autumn (Kate) Offerdahl-Joyce and Shannon Joyce, and the loving grandmother of a cherished grandchild, Lillian Offerdahl-Joyce.

Granddaughter, Lillian, was the greatest joy of Suzie's life. She devoted herself to playing with and loving Lillian in every way possible. She was a kind and empathetic person who strived to make everyone feel welcome in her presence. She enjoyed working as a teacher's aid for many years where she used her gifts of patience and kindness to help students with disabilities. During her retirement she loved traveling with Pat and her family, going to Lillian's soccer games and dance performances, sharing a meal with her siblings, seeing her nieces and nephews at family gatherings, staying in contact with friends and family near and far, and fighting for social justice through protest and donating to causes she believed in. She will be remembered for her bright smile, cheerful laughter, kindness and the love she spread to all she met.

Sue is survived by her husband Pat Joyce; daughters, Shannon Joyce and Autumn (Kate) Offerdahl-Joyce and grandchild Lillian; siblings Mike (Debbie) Milligan, Sharon (Scott) Anderson, Julie (Mark) Fisher, Jeannie (Curt) Stueber, Danny (Judy) Milligan, Patty (Tim) Lutz, and Tom (Julie) Milligan. Nieces and nephews Kelly Fisher, Mark Jr. (Sara) Fisher, Brian (Ali) Fisher, Lindsey (Mike) Fisher, Ashley (Sam) Peine, Justin (Nora) Milligan, Zach Milligan, Christopher Anderson, Noelle (Ethan) Schmitz, Tammy (Josh) Sumner, Timmy Milligan, Brianna Stueber, Nick Stueber, Kevin Milligan and Brian McCann; and many beloved great nieces and nephews.

Suzie is preceded in death by her parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held 4:00 - 8:00 pm Friday, June 19 at Broadway Bar & Pizza, 11822 Aberdeen St. NE, Blaine, MN 55449. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Suzie's name to the MN Hope Chest for Breast Cancer Foundation.
