Age 96, of St. Paul.
Passed away November 11, 2024
Beloved husband, father, grandpa, and brother.
Preceded in death by his loving wife, Nancy with whom he shared his love of sports; sons, Tom Jr. and John; brother, Michael; and sister, Frances Wallraff.
Survived by daughter, Lisa (Bob) Welter; daughters-in-law, Grace Meininger & Andrea Poeschl; grandchildren, Jacob, Nick, Hanna, Wade, Ryan, Lan & Samantha; sisters, Mary Ann Anderson & Doris O’Neill; and many nieces & nephews.
Born and raised in Frogtown, Tom attended St. Agnes and was a 13-year Aggie. He served in the Army’s 27th Infantry Regiment 25th Division during the occupation of Japan. He loved all sports and recently was inducted into the St. Agnes sports Hall of Fame. He was a kind, generous and loving man.
Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Thursday, November 21 at THE CHURCH OF THE ASSUMPTION, 51 W. 7th St., St. Paul. Visitation at the church from 9-10 AM Thursday. Mass will be livestreamed at https://watchitlivestream.com/t-poeschl/
Private interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
Memorials preferred to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
