Age 78, of St. Paul, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2022.​Preceded in death by his significant other, Ruth Mohr; parents, Leo & Marcella; sister, Kay Steivers; and nephew, Pat Engelstad.​Survived by children, Tom Groh, Jr. and Jolene (Jeff) Tabery; grandchildren, Riley Groh, Brianna Erickson, Zoey Erickson, Jordan (Todd) Remer; three great-grandchildren; brother, Randy (Kathy) Eastman; and nephews, Mike (Hope) Engelstad and Robert (Bobby) Schultz.​Tom was born in Mason City, IA and grew up in the Frogtown area of St. Paul. He was a graduate of St. Agnes High School and following graduation, served in the Army. His true passion in life was bowling. He bowled 32 "300" games, several "800" and "700" series, won several championship games and a gold medal in the Senior Olympics. He won many, many more trophies and awards throughout his life as well as holding a 225 average for many years. He was most proud of his 1998 induction into the Twin Cities Bowling Hall of Fame. ​Memorial visitation from 4-7 PM Tuesday, January 18 at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home-Roseville, 2130 N. Dale St. at County Road B.​Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
