Virginia June Perman (Awe)

Age 98, Virginia "Ginny" Awe Perman died June 23,  2025 in Roseville, MN. 

A devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, she was born in Owen, Wisconsin, on June 14, 1927. She graduated from Owen-Withee High School in 1945, and married Victor Perman in Greenwood, Wisconsin, on June 10, 1950. 

Married for 61 years, she was preceded in death by her husband, Victor, daughter, Vicki, and son-in-law, Tom Ryan. 

Survived by remaining daughters, Lauri Perman, Joan (Jim) Bertelsen, Jean (Steve) Olson,  and Karen (Tim) Borgert; grandchildren, Erick (Jess) and Kate Bertelsen, Nate Ryan (Meghan Mason), Kyle and Ryan Olson, and Jessica, Christopher, and Marissa Borgert (Josh Ojile); three great-grandchildren, Solvi and Leif Bertelsen, and Owen Ryan; cousins, nieces, and nephews. 

Ginny loved children, games, gardening, sewing, quilting, baking, celebrating holidays, and the Minnesota State Fair. She believed in “an apple a day” and when asked the secret of her longevity, she said, “keep moving.” 

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
