Wayne M. Sanders

Wayne Sanders, age 74, of Burnsville, MN, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 1, 2025.

Wayne was born on February 18, 1951, to Eric and Dorothy Sanders. He grew up in Lexington, Minnesota, alongside his brothers and sister. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Chester. He is lovingly remembered by his siblings, Gordy (Diane), Eric (Cathy), Clifford (Kris), Randy (Cathy), and Debbie.

Wayne was the proud father of Stacy (Michael Kriesel) Sanders and Angela (Patrick) Ohmann, and the cherished grandfather of Katelynn, Riley, Blake, Corey, Ryan, River, Addison, and Mason.

He built a lifelong career with Ziegler in Shakopee, where he worked for 39 years before retiring. Ziegler was a place and community he was very proud to be part of.

Wayne will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, whether hunting, fishing, or spending countless hours shooting trap with his friends and family. For over 40 years, he enjoyed trapshooting at Metro Gun Club, where he built lasting friendships and many memories.

A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, September 8, at Mueller-Bies Funeral Home-Lino Lakes, 7050 Lake Drive with visitation beginning at 10 AM.
