Wilfred R. Ortt, known as "Will", was born on July 30, 1942, in St. Paul, MN. He departed from this world on August 25, 2025, in Roseville, MN. A dedicated professional, Will spent the majority of his career as a barber in St. Paul, where he was well-known and respected in his community. His skillful hands not only provided haircuts but also served as a source of friendship and connection for many.
Will’s commitment to service extended beyond his career. He proudly served in the United States Navy, embodying a spirit of dedication and resilience. His military service reflected his deep love for his country and his strong work ethic.
He is remembered by his beloved family, including his sons, Dan Frazier and Stephen Frazier, who carry on his legacy, and his brother, Bernard Ortt and sister, Rochelle Lunde. Will was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and friends whose lives he touched throughout his journey.
Will is reunited in eternal rest with his loved ones who preceded him, including his wife, Carol Marie Ortt, parents, Robert and Virginia Ortt and brothers, Jerry, Robert, Willard, and Michael Ortt.
A graveside service will be held in honor of Will at 10:30 AM on September 25, 2025, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery (Assembly Area #3), 7601 34th Avenue So., Minneapolis. Please arrive to Assembly Area #3 by 10:15 AM. This will be an opportunity for family and friends to come together, share memories, and celebrate the life of a remarkable man.
Wilfred R. Ortt will be deeply missed but forever remembered for his kindness, dedication, and the warmth he brought to everyone who knew him.
