Rosanne M. Uschold

February 13, 1960 – December 14, 2022

Age 62, of Apple Valley.

Preceded in death by parents, Norman & Rosaria.

Survived by siblings, Marie (Jeff) Winker, Martha (Ed) Kovach, Tom (Ruth), Taylor Reed, Barb (Kirk) Anderson and Jane (Ryan) Wasell; 13 nieces & nephews; 9 great nieces & nephews; and many other family & friends.

Rosanne was strong, persistent and faith-filled over her seventeen month battle with colo-rectal cancer. Rosanne, the fifth of seven children was born and raised in Middleport, NY 30 miles east of Niagara Falls on the Erie Canal.

She was salutatorian of the Royalton-Hartland Central High School Class of 1977. Upon graduating from the College of St Benedict in St. Joseph she began a 25 year professional career at 3M. She completed her MBA from University of St Thomas. She continued her work career at Wells Fargo before her retirement in 2019.

In 2009 Rosanne graciously opened her home to care for her mother Rosaria and they enjoyed watching Jeopardy and sharing Klondike bars together.

For some years she was very involved with the Leukemia Lymphoma society Team in Training where she initially participated in walking marathons and then later coached walkers. This allowed her to travel which was something she greatly enjoyed. Over the years she traveled to Ireland, the Holy Land, Alaska, Hawaii, Europe, the Caribbean, the Middle East, Guatemala and her final trip to Greece. One unfulfilled ‘bucket list’ desire was a trip to Iceland to see the Northern Lights. A Memorial trip to Iceland at the best possible time to view the Aurora Borealis will be planned in her honor. She also made it to all but one U.S. State, South Carolina, and part of her travel included visiting family and friends!

Rosanne extended the hospitality of her home for family to host parties and hosted many Epiphany and Game parties as well. She enjoyed giving back to others and volunteered with Mary’s Place, Feed My Starving Children, Meals on Wheels, as well as playing violin with the St. Mark’s Music Ministry and Cursillo.

Rosanne was fond of hummingbirds, snowmen, and collecting coasters from her travels. She also liked to do puzzles, sudoku, and play cards-especially cribbage with the Apple Valley Seniors. Rosanne, described as a “people collector” was a great friend to many. She was grateful for the countless family and friends who accompanied her on this cancer journey over the last several months.

Her witty, practical, self-reliant, confident, faith-filled, fun-loving, and courageous attitude towards life will be greatly missed.

Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Tuesday, December 20 at THE CHURCH OF ST. CECILIA, 2357 Bayless Pl., St. Paul. Visitation at the church from 5-7 PM Monday and (with prayer at 7 PM) and from 10-11 AM Tuesday.
