Verle E. Paul

August 15, 1937 - January 1, 2019

He took Jesus’ hand and was peacefully released while surrounded by family on January 1, 2019.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, godfather, and a lasting friend to all he met. He loved the Lord, his family and life, and being of service to others. He attended every event, large and small, in his 6 grandchildren’s lives, cheering them on as he will now do from heaven.

He was preceded in death by Lois, his wife of 57 years.

He is survived by his 3 children, Sara Jess (Megan), Lisa (Terril) Tolzien, and Marc (Sara); grandchildren Trent, Tara (Sam), Tevin (Katie), Clara, Sally, and Bryce; great-granddaughter, Blake; sisters, Angie (Ray) Rannow and Marlene Williamson; and sister-in-law, Dorothea Tesch.

He was a 21 year teacher primarily at Central Lutheran School of St. Paul, produce manager at Country Club, spent many happy years at Linder’s Nursery (with his famous Booya),  44 years of fundraising for Camp Omega at the State Fair and an ever-present servant of Jesus.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 4 from 5-8 PM at KING OF KINGS LUTHERAN CHURCH, 2330 N. Dale St., Roseville. Funeral Service 11 AM Saturday, January 5 at the church, with visitation from 10-11 AM.  Interment Elmhurst Cemetery.
