A Full Service Provider of Funeral, Cremation and Preplanning Services
Our Services to You During the Coronavirus Outbreak
Under the latest executive order, the State of Minnesota is allowing churches and funeral homes to conduct seated services and ceremonies for up to 50% of the facility’s normal occupancy capacity (provided proper distancing can be maintained), with a maximum total of 250 people. Visitations and informal gatherings are prohibited at least until December 18th, 2020.
Area churches will each have their own individual capacity and safety guidelines, and some cemeteries may also have restrictions in place. At our funeral homes, we are able to conduct services with up to 40 people seated in the chapel, provided required distancing between households can be maintained. Auxiliary seating with video simulcasting and overflow viewing space is also available, with a maximum capacity of 120 people in the facility as a whole at any given time. Services can be recorded and published on our website after for viewing by those who were unable to attend.
We suggest that families have smaller, more private services for the duration of this latest shutdown to ensure compliance with the the state's regulations. We also require, in accordance with state and city orders, that the following guidelines be adhered to:
- Distancing of six feet from other persons not part of your own household must be maintained at all times. Please, no hugging or handshakes.
- The wearing of masks is required by state executive order.
- Food and/or beverages are not permitted.
We will work with families to determine on a case-by-case basis what options are available, taking into consideration the limitations in place at the funeral home, church, and/or cemetery as applicable. The size of services will continue to be dependent on the venue and on the inclinations of families and potential attendees. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to serve you to the best of our ability while maintaining compliance with state regulation.
