Celia Garcia

Celia Garcia passed away on August 9th, 2025 at the age of 94.

She was born in Holguin, Cuba and immigrated to the United States in 1970. As a seamstress, she worked at Rosenblatt and Leaf Brothers in Minneapolis. In 1986, she and her husband Raul became U.S. citizens. They were married for 68 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Raul. 

She is survived by her son, Dionicio Garcia; daughters, Margarita (Douglas) Wilson, Caridad (Jeff) Nelson, Maria (Javier) Garcia, Cruz Celia (Steven) Hall; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family wishes to express it’s gratitude for care Celia received at the Willows of arbor Lakes and Fairview Southdale Hospital- 8th floor.

Funeral Service 11 AM Friday, August 15 at Peace Lutheran Church, 1744 Walnut Street Lauderdale, MN. Visitation 10-11 AM Friday at the church. Interment Roselawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of choice is preferred.
