Virginia Darlene Seaborg, age 90 of Oakdale, passed away at the Maplewood Good Samaritan Center on January 1, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger; her grandson, Jake McKenzie, and her brothers, Ken and Chuck Anderson.
Virginia was born in the Town of Balsam Lake, Wisconsin in 1935 to Clifton and Lillian Anderson. The family eventually moved to St. Croix Falls. After graduating from high school she moved to St. Paul, Minnesota where she met her future husband, Roger, while working at the First National Bank of St. Paul. They married in March of 1955. After Roger was discharged from the Army they eventually moved to North St. Paul and raised their family.
Virginia is survived by her children, Pam Blazina (Tom), Penny McKenzie (Bob), and Scott Seaborg (Kathy); her grandchildren, Ali, Kelly, Colin, Meghan, Matt, Steve, and Kirsten; her great-grandchildren, Graham, McKinley, Camilla, Judah, Selah, Eden, Landon, Myles, William, Tessa, and Colton, her step-granddaughter, Heather; and step-great grandchildren, Grace and Grant. She is also survived by her brother, Rick (Linda) and nieces and nephews.
Virginia was a wonderful seamstress making the kids and grandkids clothes and quilts, was a part of the quilting group for many years at her church and enjoyed working on counted cross-stitch. She also took up golfing and skiing that she enjoyed with her husband, Roger. Virginia also loved gardening vegetables and flowers. As with Roger, she was very proud of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Following a private interment at Roselawn Cemetery, a memorial service for Roger and Virginia will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, January 12 at New Life Presbyterian Church, 965 Larpenteur Ave. W, Roseville. Visitation will be at the church from 10-11 AM Monday. A reception will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to the Alzheimer's Association or Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
